I have set the challenge on Artarazzi today, and shown my fav piece of work based on this. This is another piece that I did, using the same base art. Look at both pieces - you wouldn't think that they were based on the same picture. It just shows how wonderful photoshop is for the artist.

I found this again after 3-4 years and I still love it. It is so artistic, I could watch it over and over.

Latest Challenge

I have not had much time to do any art lately, but managed for this one. Its for DAQ challenge 72, and is called The Traveller. I used various google images to create a collage effect in sepia. I hope you like it.

Among the flowers

This was Artarazzi piece for the challenge this week. The backgound was from photoshoptalent.com, and the beautiful image is by Charles Joshua Chaplin and is called "Girl with a Nest".

Pirates!

The theme was Pirates, use a playing card, and some wood.
This is my piece of art for the DAQ challenge this week, and it is called King of the Sea.

Memory Glass

Another new technique for me - I LOVED this!!
I used moonglow pigments on memory glass pendants. I spread a little clear drying glue on one side of the glass, then whilst still wet dipped my finger into the pigment powder and dabbed it over the glue. You can mix the colours too to get what you want. When dry, I put the 2 pieces of glass together, with the pigment in the middle like a sandwich - This gives a coloured textured background. I then used stazon and stamp on top. I fix the metal frame around the glass, put a few beads on top, and you have a beautiful pendant.

Surreal

I had so much fun doing a "surreal" piece for the Artarazzi challenge this week. I have never done this sort of thing before, so had a look at lots of examples and decided to try my own.
I used an image by Vladimir Kush as my base, and downloaded random photos from Stock Exchange, to try to make an image that was pleasing to the eye.

I call it "The Hand of God"

This was my first go...



This was my second go after tweaking it a bit more.

Pencil Sketch

This was the technique challenge on DAQ this week. I have always used an action for this, but wanted to have a go myself this time - I had such fun....

I changed the photo to a sketch, added layers, to show colour in parts, then added brushes.
