Printers Tray

I have just finished altering my printers tray. I bought it a while ago from Ebay, and have been just looking at it ever since.I wasn't sure how to tackle it, so spent plenty of time thinking about it and collecting all my items and pictures together. I knew that I wanted it to have a vintage look, as the outside was in good condition and I didn't want to alter that. So searching my stash draws, getting out all my Tom Holtz stash, and anything else I could find.I bought a sunrise, a letter N ( for Norman)and a letter V ( for Veronica) old linotype wooden stamps from Ebay, and I think they just add the finishing touch. The patena on them is wonderful....

After cleaning thoroughly, I firstly coverd the inside of each draw with Tim Holtz papers - they seemed so suitable. Then I just played around with all my other stash and pictures. I used pics of me and Norm, with my grandfather and my mum and dads wedding.
I arranged them how I liked them, and then started to stick them on. I used Glossy Accents for the heavy stuff, and xyron tape for the paper items.
I altered the white flower using TH distressed ink pads, and the buttons and little word tiles using caramel alcohol ink.
I used a bottle top, with TH doodads, and glossy accents again.
I struggled with the words at the bottom and have just used an orange glitter gelly pen to write by hand on to cream glossy card. I am not sure if I like that though, so that might well change later.

Anyway, I am really pleased with how it had turned out
I hope you like it.

I really like what you've done with this. I've looked at printer's trays on several occasions and wondered whether to alter one, you've convinced me to do it at some stage.
